Detective Bureau is an important segment of the police department  Patrol officers perform many investigations; but, it is often impractical for them to investigate every crime that they come in contact with.  Crimes that require extensive investigation, require extraordinary investigative techniques or require a high degree of investigative knowledge , are assigned to the Detective Bureau.  The Detective Bureau is staffed by well-trained and experienced investigators who solve many difficult cases and/or apprehend criminals responsible for crime sprees.
